Justine Carlson Memorial Scholarship 

The Pentwater Jr. Women’s Club awards two female graduates of Pentwater High School scholarships of $2,000 each for tuition and expenses for secondary education. Qualifying students have demonstrated commitment to academics and the community.

Justine Carlson, an early member of the Pentwater Jr. Women’s Club, worked as a bookkeeper for the Pentwater Public Schools for almost 30 years when she died in a tragic car pedestrian accident in 1995. She was a fun and outgoing woman who attended many school events, loved to garden, and contribute her time and talents to Pentwater. Justine was loved by all in the community, especially the students, her family, and her dear husband Jerry, who is brother to current Jr. Women’s Club member Christine Miner. Justine and Jerry’s two sons graduated from Pentwater Schools.

Congratulations to our 2022 Scholarship winners Bailee Hasil, who plans to attend Davenport University for business, and Nicole Daniels, who will study Forensic Biology at Ferris State University!
